Casa Luzzati è una sede relazionale, un luogo di apprendimento e di sviluppo della creatività.
Nasce come centro di produzione culturale con lo scopo di divulgare l'arte e la biografia di Emanuele Luzzati, riscoprendo la libertà creativa dei suoi molteplici linguaggi.
Titolare della gestione è la Lele Luzzati Foundation, depositaria del fondo opere donato dagli eredi e riferimento per la valorizzazione del patrimonio delle collezioni del Maestro.
Inaugurata il 3 giugno 2021 nel centenario della nascita del Maestro, Casa Luzzati è fucina di progetti espositivi, di pubblicazioni, di incontri, di rassegne e di seminari; uno spazio-documento del lavoro di Luzzati, ma anche un luogo di apertura ad altre realtà, archivi, artisti e associazioni.
Un focus speciale è rivolto alle produzioni del cinema d’animazione, che fa parte del Dna di Casa Luzzati, dato che Luzzati e Gianini sono stati ben due volte candidati agli Oscar per i loro film di animazione.
Il Cantiere delle Arti costituisce l’area didattico-formativa di Casa Luzzati e ha le sue basi nel pensiero e nella metodologia elaborata da Emanuele Luzzati. Il Cantiere sviluppa un calendario di attività che comprendono workshop e laboratori ludicocreativi rivolti alle scuole, ai bambini e agli adulti.

“Casa Luzzati” is a cultural production centre designed to disseminate the art and biography of Emanuele Luzzati, by rediscovering the creative freedom of his many languages.
"Casa Luzzati" intends to present experimental educational programmes, implementing a multi-year plan of initiatives and exhibition projects in partnership with national and international museums and foundations, and to publish monographs on Lele Luzzati's work.
"Casa Luzzati" is the core of the Maestro's heritage which, following the explicit will of the Luzzati family and heirs, has been donated to the city of Genoa and made available to the general public and to his many admirers.
Walking through the different rooms, visitors will go on a fully immersive journey into Emanuele Luzzati's creativity, thus experiencing some of the topical moments in the life of one of the leading 20th century Masters.
The first room (reception and bookshop) is a preview of the rich exhibition on show in the following spaces, which visitors are invited to discover.
The exhibition room is periodically dedicated to thematic exhibitions and is also intended as a meeting venue for artists working in the same artistic fields as the Maestro.
In the auditorium and projection room, animated films by Emanuele Luzzati and Giulio Gianini will be looping. It is also a place for conferences and exhibitions.
Emanuele Luzzati's study room features original furniture, such as the wardrobe he painted when he came back from Lausanne, and a wooden chest of drawers with his sketches and projects for shows. Another room follows, with thirty theatre maquettes, related figures and sketches, and the Maestro's precious library arranged into sections.
At the end of the itinerary, a room dedicated to educational activities and spaces for study and research, with an archive of works, artefacts, documents, and photographs. The scientific digitisation of the archive is currently in progress.
Casa Luzzati is a breeding ground for exhibition projects, publications, meetings, book presentations, and workshops. It will be a space where Luzzati's work is documented, but also a place opened to other entities, archives and artists from all over the world.
This space is offering an attentive look at international productions in animation, illustration, theatre, graphics, urban and naval design, and at other protagonists of 20th century culture, whether or not they were personally met by the Maestro himself.
